A Day in the Life of Madison

Day 2

I didn't actually take this picture today but, I did take it yesterday morning to send to my sister to show her Madison's CRAZY morning hair.
Today has been a crazy day in itself. Madison has been sleeping until about 11:00 all week. The only dilemma with this is that she is going through major separation anxiety. I have to lay right there beside until around 10:00 before I can sneak out of the bed without waking her up. I am sure it would be quite entertaining to watch me. I have to pretty much roll off the bed, crawl to the bathroom to put my contacts in and tip toe out of the bedroom.
We had to be at physical therapy today at 1:30 and had several errands we needed to run. I wanted to try to get all my running around in before therapy so she could get a nap in afterwards. We left the house at 12:30 and ran by to get my contacts, get the pool water tested and went and paid the property taxes and made it to therapy at 1:35! I was pretty proud of us! Before I had Madison I was always on time. Now I seem to always be 10 minutes late to everything.
We only had one more errand to run. We needed to go by my parents house to drop off some used cooking oil for my dad to use at our Men of the Church fish fry that they had tonight. This should have been a 15 minute trip. Drop off the grease, visit for a little while, load up and head home. WRONG!! As soon as I walked into mom and dad's house I knew we would be there longer. Dad was in charge of getting the fish ready, making the grits and to bring the flour and fish fry. It looked like flour bags had exploded in their kitchen and there were too many dishes to count. Dad was a nervous wreck running around trying to get everything ready with only 2 hours to spare. I ran to the grocery store for him to get more flour and to buy some fish fry. After that , I went back to their house and helped him finish preparing everything and to get the kitchen clean before mom got home. Needless to say, Madison and I got home at 4:45 and she didn't get a nap in at all. Madison enjoyed sitting in her high chair watching her mom and Papa run around the kitchen like crazy. She was cracking up at us. I am sure she thought we were crazy. All in all....it was a WONDERFUL day!!

  1. You will not regret this blog! It will be great way to share Madison's life with everyone. It will also help you to talk about all that you will experience as her mom! I love you and I thank God for allowing our paths to cross!!
